Delivery

All deliveries are subject to stock availability and authorisation of your payment.

Your order will be delivered between 8am and 8pm, Monday to Saturday. We are unfortunately unable to specify the time at which the goods will be delivered to you.

We can either deliver your order to the billing address for the card you use to pay for your order, or you can specify an alternative address, such as a workplace, university or friend/family address (UK only) at checkout. If a delivery is requested to your workplace you must use the Premium Delivery service. The alternative delivery address must be in the UK (i.e. has a Royal Mail postcode).

Mainland UK Premium Delivery

If you need the shoes in a hurry then use our premium delivery service. We endeavour to deliver the goods you have offered to purchase within 3 working days from despatch. Premium delivery is £5.50 irrespective of the number of items ordered. For orders made using our Premium service, we will require a signature to confirm receipt of order.


UK Off-Shore Delivery

We endeavour to deliver the goods you have offered to purchase within 10 working days from despatch. Delivery charge is £9.00 irrespective of the number of items ordered.


Northern Ireland Delivery

We endeavour to deliver the goods you have offered to purchase within 7 working days from despatch. Delivery charge is £4.75 irrespective of the number of items ordered.


Republic of Ireland Delivery

We endeavour to deliver the goods you have offered to purchase within 7 working days from despatch. Delivery charge is £4.75 irrespective of the number of items ordered.


Our Returns Policy:

We want you to be entirely happy with your purchase, and your feedback is important to us, so if there is something you want to tell us about please let us know via our Live Chat service or by sending us a message via our help section (link).

If you do have any reason to return your product we will happily accept the unworn product in our stores or to the returns address detailed below, within 28 days of receipt.

Returning your web purchase to a store:

The items you wish to return can be taken to any of our stores and returned free of charge within 28 days of receipt, provided that the product has not been worn; is undamaged; and proof of purchase is provided.

The advice note you receive is your proof of purchase and should be returned to the store along with the product. If you no longer have the advice note please provide your order number to the member of staff in store, they will then be able to verify the details of the order with the Customer Service Department.

Cash refunds are not available for purchases made on our websites. Refunds in store will be made only to the card which was used to place the order. The card, and the cardholder, must be present in order for this transaction to take place.

Our stores are unable to refund directly to a Paypal account, so if you have made your purchase using Paypal we will happily process the refund to any debit or credit card bearing the name of the person the order was originally billed to. This is shown on your advice note under 'Billing Address'.

Refunds for original delivery charges cannot, unfortunately, be processed in store. Please contact our Customer Service Department to arrange this refund. A member of staff in the store would be happy to make this call for you.

Our concession departments in Beales department stores are unable to accept returns of orders purchased on our website.

Returns sent to our Head Office are not free and the cost of your return will not be included in the refund that is processed. We recommend using a tracked service such as Royal Mail's recorded delivery or Special Delivery. These services allow the progress of your parcel to be tracked through Royal Mail's website, and a signature is required on receipt at the destination.

When sending an item back through the post please consider the value of the parcel and the level of insurance offered by Royal Mail.
The current insurance levels (January 2013) are:
Royal Mail Recorded Delivery – Up to £46
Royal Mail Special Delivery – Up to £500

Please note that Royal Mail's standard 1st and 2nd Class services do not offer parcel tracking, a signature on receipt, or any level of insurance. Proof of posting obtained from the Post Office does not constitute proof of our receipt of the returned item.
Once the return product is received by our returns team the item will be inspected and the paperwork passed on to the Customer Service Department to process the refund. Please allow up to 10 days for the refund to reach your account inclusive of the banks clearing time.

A fault with your product?

If for any reason you feel that there is a manufacturing fault with your purchase, either on receipt or developed during wear, you can return the item back to us for inspection. The product can be returned to either a store or the returns department address shown above for this inspection to take place.

If the fault with the product is clearly visible then our Customer Service Department will be happy to view photographs of the damage sent via e-mail, in order to save on the time and cost of returning the product. Pictures can be sent to enquiries@barratts.co.uk.

If any product fails to give reasonable wear due to defective workmanship or materials then we will refund you for the item. Refunds for fault items will also include any original delivery charges paid.

Where a manufacturing fault cannot be determined in store or by reviewing the photographs the item will need to be returned to the Head Office address for inspection by our Quality Control Team.
Returns postage for items returned to our Head Office will be refunded where a fault is found.

Modification

Where any modification of the product has been carried out such as re-heeling or dying we are unable to accept the product as a return.

Distance Selling Regulations

Under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations (DSR's), you have up to 7 working days to cancel your order starting from the day after your order is received. Any delivery charges will be refunded if a full order is cancelled. However, if you are cancelling only part of your order the delivery charge will stand for the remaining goods received.

Should you wish to cancel an order once it is placed, please contact our Customer Service Department at your earliest convenience. The earlier we are notified the better chance we have of preventing despatch of the order.

Where orders have already been despatched, the delivery of the goods should be refused when attempted and the parcel will then be returned to us.

In instances where the order has already been received the general returns information above will apply. Further details of your rights under the Distance Selling Regulations and available from your local Trading Standards department or Citizens Advice Bureau.

The above is in addition to your statutory rights, which remain unaffected, but we shall not be liable to you or any third party for any indirect or consequential loss or damage.
